Meet Our Team
Marty Cook, Vice President of Premium Services
Marty Cook has spent more than two decades in senior sales and leadership roles with North American leaders in the agricultural technology and equipment manufacturing sector, including Novariant AutoFarm, Topcon, Buhler Versatile and Case New Holland Industrial.
He holds a passion for the progressive and technological future of farming, which he brings to his stewardship of Glacier FarmMedia’s portfolio of farmer-focused speciality products, including MarketsFarm, WeatherFarm, and METOS® Canada.
Marty also leads the development of new products and services designed to bring advanced information and cutting-edge technology to farmers.
Craig Roberts, Corporate Partner, EVP, Business Information
Craig works closely with METOS® Canada as a corporate partner with Vancouver’s Glacier Media.
In leadership and executive roles over two decades, Craig has led growth, strategy, and developed teams in the areas of digital products, corporate and business development, and marketing. Since 2017, Craig has been immersed in Canadian ag tech and emerging ag IoT (Internet of Things).
Craig has a B.Sc. honours in Environmental Sciences from Queen’s University and graduate degrees from Queen’s and Cornell Universities. In 2007 Craig obtained his CPA designation and is currently registered with the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
Tom has been involved in the agriculture industry for 30 years. Having worked on a mixed crop and livestock farm from a young age, a passion for agriculture was developed. This led him to attaining a Diploma in Agriculture and a Crop Science Degree, both from the University of Guelph.
Tom has senior sales experience with agriculture dealers and greatly enjoys the interaction with them. He has been involved with setting up distribution across Canada of Precision Ag products for a number of years with companies such as AgChem, AGCO, and Topcon.
He thrives on using new technologies to maximize efficiencies in crop production. Tom is excited to work with dealers across Canada in providing their growers the tools to achieve the best possible results using METOS® Canada solutions.
Farrah Wilson, Customer Satisfaction Coordinator
Farrah Wilson has been working in the agriculture industry for the past 20 years.
With a strong background in advertising and a passion for organization she has been the creative lead in various roles including Advertising Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Marketing Coordinator and Brand Strategist of various Glacier FarmMedia publications and events. Building awareness for brands such as AgDealer, Manitoba Cooperator, Grainews, Ag in Motion, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show and Farm Forum Event to name a few.
Farrah recently joined the METOS® Canada team as Customer Satisfaction Coordinator where she is excited to grow her knowledge base and skills while building and developing relationships with dealers and farmers to help them find solutions that work for their farm operation.
Gerry McFaddin, CPA, CGA, CCP (Emeritus), Director of Operations
Gerry has been in senior financial and leadership roles for 30 years including Glacier FarmMedia, The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB), and Canada Packers. In addition, to financial / accounting roles, he has been heavily involved in logistics and process re-engineering, including being responsible for the creation of an international franchise operation.
He has also authored two financial textbooks and teaches specialized financial courses to hundreds of students per year. At the CWB Gerry was heavily involved in the WeatherFarm weather station program.
Gerry will be responsible for logistics, including inventory, quality control, pricing, contracts, systems, and reporting.
Guy Ash, Global Training and Key Accounts Manager
Guy Ash has worked as agro-meterologist and earth observations science specialist for the past 29 years. His experience began at the University of Manitoba as a scientist/researcher/lecturer in the Centre of Earth Observation Science and was involved in a wide range of geo-science disciplines, including climatology-meteorology.
Guy went on to develop weather networks with the Province of Manitoba and Canadian Wheat Board and became the Chief Meterologist responsible for weather risk management with the CFL and NHL in Canada.
Guy is currently the Global Training and Key Accounts Manager for Pessl Instruments and METOS® Canada, providing technical and training support for an extensive list of IoT solutions.
Adam is the Precision Ag Specialist with METOS® Canada. Having grown up on a farm outside Winnipeg, he has been immersed in the agriculture industry his entire life and has first-hand experience with the revolution in ag technology.
Adam recently completed schooling in environmental engineering and chemistry, with a focus in environmental monitoring and analysis for farmland across the Prairies.
In a position which intersects his experience in agriculture and his passion for digital advancement in the industry, he endeavours to see this technology become an accessible tool for farms to maximize their potential.
Sumanth Kuntavalli Venkatesh, M.Sc., E.I.T, Precision Ag Specialist
Sumanth has experience working with custom Ag design and manufacturing environments and has worked in different functions of Ag field testing, new product development, and process improvement.
He has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on Agriculture equipment development and is very passionate about experimenting and working with different technologies and sensors to come up with better solutions.
In his current role as Precision Ag Specialist, Sumanth is very excited to improve his skillset. Working with the METOS® Canada team he will contribute to the ever-growing need for agricultural produce by integrating the latest technology with farming to help farmers make precise decisions and achieve better output.
